About Us...

We are a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to the rescue & rehabilitation of the strays in the Bella Vista and surrounding area. Our Mission is to provide food shelter and medical care for the animals in need - until they can be adopted into loving homes. Our facility like many others operates solely on the kind-hearted donations from private parties and the surrounding community. Thank you to all that have donated to the shelter past & present, as well as those of you that have helped to save an animal, by welcoming them into your heart and home-through adopting a homeless pet.

The shelter was started in 1985 when a deputy sheriff,  Phil Sciumbato, recognized the need to house the many abandoned animals in Bella Vista.  He started with an 8 x 12' shed.

In 2008 3472 sq ft addition was added to Nibbles House giving us over 5000 sq ft for the animals and 816 sq ft of professional office space for the staff & public.

We are managed by an elected, volunteer board.  Our staff consists of four full and three part-time employees and an endless number of volunteers.
